Monthly Raffle

To get this community started I am going to began a raffle, so start telling your family and friends about this site.

The criteria is as follows:

• Must have a minimal of 50 new users each month for the raffle to happen, if not met you will be listed in the following months drawing. Example: Sept. has 40 new users no draw for Sept.; Oct has 10 new users a draw happens with 60 people in the pool.
• Users must have 50 non spam posts
• Maximum prize amount not to exceed $150.
• User can not win more than once until the site reaches 500 active accounts, than anyone with 50 posts per month will be in the pool.
• User will be randomly picked by using MySQL's order by rand() select statement, and screen shots will be made and posted.
• Free shipping with-in the US only, if over seas you can pay for shipping.
  

So for this months prize it will be a 8GB iPOD nano from BestBuy or a $50 cash prize via paypal your choice.

Wow so no one is really interested in this raffle huh? I got the idea from http://www.mylol.net/prize.php, I spoke to the guy that runs the site and he says its a big hit for him.

I would think it would be a win win for everyone especially for the 1st raffle as it is a 1 in 50 chance of winning an iPod, someone will win and I get a larger forum.

Looks like we only have 2 trying:

mysql> select username,postnum from mybb_users where postnum > "15";

The results would be picked by the following command, but with 50 vs. 15 posts.

mysql> select username,postnum from mybb_users where postnum > "15" order by rand() limit 1;

+----------+---------+
| CheETah | 19 |
+----------+---------+
1 row in set (0.00 sec)

In this case if we had 50 users with 50 posts CheETah would have won.
